High Chai: Mind & Body Harmony in a Cup (With Mushrooms!)

Is it relaxation? Is it a pick-me-up? High Chai is both, and then some! Imagine mouth-enlightening Malabar spices dancing with sweet rooibos, and then throw in the brain-boosting power of Lion's Mane and the calming embrace of Reishi. It's like a wellness party, and your taste buds are invited!

We call this blend our 'identity crisis' tea. It's a delightful mashup of mellow rooibos, the ultimate relaxation guru, and the sensual spiciness of Masala chai, the life of the party. But here's the twist: we've added our very own Lion's Mane and Reishi, the dynamic duo of mushroom wellness to aid your inner peace and focus.

Rooibos, with its soothing, caffeine-free goodness, sets the stage for calm. Masala chai, with its ginger, cinnamon, cardamom, and pepper kick, adds a zing.  But then, enter Lion's Mane, the clarity champion, and Reishi, the tranquilizer extraordinaire.

This blend is like yin and yang, night and day, or… well, a perfectly balanced cup of chai. Lion's Mane sharpens your focus, while Reishi helps you unwind. It's the ultimate 'work hard, relax harder' tea.

Brew a cup, let the aromatic spices and earthy mushrooms work their magic, and watch it all make sense. Prepare it with warm soy or whole milk for an extra layer of creamy delight. It's complex, it's comforting, it's High Chai – a herbal blend with a whole lot of  personality (and mushrooms!)

HOT BREWING METHOD:

Bring fresh, filtered cold water to a rolling boil. Place one slightly heaped teaspoon of loose tea per 200-260mL cup in your teapot. Pour the boiling water into the teapot. Cover and steep for 3-7 minutes, depending on your preferred strength (longer steeping creates a stronger brew).

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Jug):

(To Make 1 Litre): Place six slightly heaped teaspoons of herbal tea into a teapot or heat-resistant jug. Using fresh, filtered cold water, boil and pour 315mL over the tea. Steep for 5-10 minutes. Fill a serving jug a quarter full with cold water. Pour the brewed tea into the serving jug, straining it or removing the tea. Add ice and top up the jug with cold water. Garnish and sweeten to taste. Remember, when brewing iced herbal tea, make the hot brew stronger as it will be diluted by ice and cold water.

ICED TEA BREWING METHOD (Individual Serve):

Place one slightly heaped teaspoon of herbal tea or one tea bag into a teapot per 200mL cup. Using fresh, filtered cold water, boil and pour 170-200mL over the tea. Cover and steep for 5-10 minutes. Add the hot tea to a 375mL glass filled with ice, straining it or removing the bags. You'll have slightly more than a single serve. Garnish and sweeten to taste. As with a jug, when brewing iced herbal tea, make the hot brew stronger, as it will be diluted by ice and cold water.
